Watercolour Basics, Exploring Landscape – 3 ½ hours
Sat, June 8, 10:00am – 1:30pm,
This stimulating workshop combines drawing on location in Terrigal with time in the studio exploring watercolour techniques. Participants will gain insights into composition and colour mixing methods to create their own finished landscape work. Suitable for beginners to intermediate. Bring a sketchbook and pencil. Includes morning tea and all other materials.
Watercolour – drawing from nature – 2 hrs

Nature is a wonderful source of inspiration. Join us in this 2 hour watercolour workshop where we will explore drawing and colour mixing techniques to create a 15cm x 15cm botanical still-life artwork. Framing available. Suitable for beginners to intermediate.
Ink – East meets West – 3 ½ hrs
Sat Aug 17, 10am – 1:30pm
Discover how Asian art has influenced Western artistic methods. Through the versatile medium of ink and brush we will experiment using various drawing techniques creating your own finished artwork. Bring a sketchbook, all other materials supplied. Includes morning tea.

Explore colour through creating your own colour wheel and design a minature artwork with your favourite colours. All materials supplied.
Kids Exploring Transparency with Watercolours – 1 ½ hours

In this 1 ½ hour fun and interactive workshop for kids, we will use watercolours to explore the techniques for creating the illusion of transparency and light reflection found in glass. Materials supplied, bring a sketchbook.

About the Presenters:
With a degree in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle, Robyn Pedley majored in painting and drawing and exhibits regularly throughout NSW, Victoria and in their gallery at Terrigal. Through her interactive workshops she shares the joy and simplicity of drawing and colour, helping participants establish a foundation of the tools and techniques required to achieve maximum creative enjoyment!
With a background in business and finance, Darren Pedley is an avid photographer with a passion for working in macro and art reproduction. His recent exhibition Bloom showcased his love of flower macrophotography and his work in fine art reproduction is on display at Bobbie P Gallery.
