“To create captivating and intelligent artworks that reflect the beauty of the environment around us that then bring transformation to the environment in which they are placed”… Robyn Pedley
About the Gallery
Bobbie P is a boutique Art Gallery and creative space located in the heart of Terrigal on the Central Coast, NSW. Terrigal is surrounded by beautiful beaches and national parks making the area a smorgasboard for both inspiration and artistic content. The Gallery features original artworks by local artists, artist studios and we hold regular workshops and exhibitions.
We are Darren & Robyn Pedley and established Bobbie P Gallery originally in 2013 in a beautifully renovated gallery space in Wyong and moved to Terrigal in 2017 .
Originally from Melbourne, Robyn had a background in fashion & design while mine was finance, yet we both had a passion for the arts. In 2000 we decided it was time for a change and moved from Melbourne to the Central Coast NSW and both began working for a music media production company. This led to Robyn working in local galleries and while I moved into music retail and set up a creative studio space recording and teaching music.
Being around artists and art all the time, plus time at home with a young family fuelled a desire in Robyn to pursue her enjoyment of drawing and painting further. Over the years, the spark turned into a passion leading to her pursuing and completeing a Fine Arts Degree at Newcastle University.
This passion turn into a dream. This dream turned in Bobbie P.
Since opening, we have come a long way and we have grown a lot. We had too. From humble beginnings we have held multiple exhibitions with national and local artists, Robyn has held numerous solo exhibitions and I recently held my own first photographic solo exhibition .
We create the artworks, we serve our clients, we make the canvases we paint on, we build our frames, and we do the majority of our photography and printing in house.
I love the fact that we can offer something very unique from start to finish in a world of mass production.
